Designers on Closette don't share a page template with someone offloading last year's wardrobe. Verified designer accounts get a distinct profile — built to read like a label's presence, not a personal listing.
Verified designers are surfaced in their own row on the Explore page — a standing feature placement, not a paid boost.
04 — Trust, before anything ships
Government ID and a live selfie are required before anyone's first rental, purchase, or listing — reviewed before they can transact.
Security deposits sit outside Closette's revenue entirely. They're released to the renter, or to you if damage is confirmed — never treated as fees.
Outgoing and return photos are captured at handoff, so a damage claim is backed by evidence, not two conflicting accounts.
Abusive behavior or misrepresented listings can be flagged directly, blocked instantly, and are reviewed by Closette within 24 hours.
05 — The economics
Closette takes a flat share of what the garment itself earns — never of delivery, never of the deposit.
Commission on the rental subtotal or sale price — the only thing it's ever calculated from.
Commission on delivery fees or the security deposit. You keep 100% of what the deposit protects.
